Our Dojang
Indo Hap Ki Do - Way of Life
Our Dojang (martial art studio is located in a prominent part of Kolkata. Training is conducted in this internal Dojang which is fully matted allowing the students to practice their grappling / locking techniques. The soft rubber mats also enable students to do special techniques like rolls and break falls very easily.
In addition the Dojang is staffed with kick pads, punching bag, gymnastic rings which provide valuable practce. The advantage of having an indoor Dojang is that training classes are not interrupted by weather or any other vagaries of natures. The Dojang is adorned with photos related to Indo Hap Ki Do which provides motivation for the students learning in the Dojang.
The Dojang has a statue of the Buddha to whom all students bow before starting the training. Students typically take some time to quietly meditate in front of the Buddha statue before and after the classes are over.
